Psychotherapy for businesses

Research has demonstrated that good psychological wellbeing, emotional intelligence and personal resilience are essential threshold conditions for effective performance and the achievement of full potential. The key cause of long term sick is muscular skeletal problems and psychological issues. It is estimated that 1 in 4 people in the UK have been affected by psychological distress at some point in their life, which could be 25% of your workforce.

Whether your employee’s issues are personal or work related they may still impact on your business. Identifying the psychological and behavioural factors that influence attention, reasoning, learning, decision making, relationship management and good communication, is now a central part of the modern occupational health and personal development agenda.


Providing psychotherapy for employees not only helps to manage their sickness absence but it can also help improve productivity; staff retention; increase bottom line profit; improve staff morale; and sustain your corporate responsibility and duty of care. I offer a range of specialist occupational services to support professionals and organisations.

Employee psychotherapy / counselling service:

I provide psychotherapy and counselling services to individuals requiring personal support across a wide range of psychological, emotional and behavioural issues. These services are completely confidential and provided for individuals and on behalf of organisations. I am able to see individuals privately in their place of work, my practice or provide telephone therapy.

 

Trauma therapy and debrief:

  • I use established evidence based psychological approaches to support individuals or small groups, who have experienced work related trauma. My approach is based on NICE guidance and draws upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR protocols.

 

Psychological Health Reports:

  • I have experience of providing comprehensive mental health risk and assessments; written reports in relation to psychological health and wellbeing and therapy recommendations for employers, solicitors, case managers and health professionals.

 

Exit and Redeployment Counselling:

  • I provide a safe, supportive and confidential environment for employees to understand the implications of change, explore their future options and plan their transition.

 

Stress management:

  • I can offer individuals or small groups training on stress management techniques to improve performance and promote psychological wellbeing for themselves or others.

 

Clinical Supervision:

  • I provide expert support to a range of caring professionals working in business, medical and health fields. This includes clinical supervision and restorative support (see my supervision tab).
